OUR STORY

Kinetic Farms Inc., began with growing 1 acre of Local Red Russian Garlic in 2020 and presently(2025) it has expanded to growing 20 acres of garlic.

KFI turned to full fledge commercial farming in 2023 because we noticed that the more, we grew, the more we were selling. With increased quantity, we were able to reduce the cost of buying garlic. Making it more affordable. Which, generated more sales from consumers because they were now motivated to purchase local. As Capellini says “The demand is there, if people can produce it” (Vancouver is Awesome Newsletter, 2023).

KFI specializes in growing one variety of garlic: Red Russian, from one garlic cultivar: Marble Purple Stripe.

We proudly call our garlic: Kinetic Garlic because just like kinetic energy, our gourmet local garlic gives a kick of energy when indulged! Its garlicky flavour is unmatchable.

Our Motto is: “Eat Good, Stay Energized!” and our company is guided by Good Agriculture Practices (GAP). We ensure respect and safety is adhered to always for our customers, employees, and owners.

Our Farming Method

We are local garlic growers that believe in ecological and sustainable farming. This includes crop rotations, composting for fertility, avoiding the use of synthetic pesticides, and applying well-balanced organic fertilizers at planting and in spring. Each plant is inspected multiple times during planting, growing, and harvesting. Any garlic that shows signs of diseases/infection is removed and carefully disposed. We also choose a handful of bulbs to be tested at our nearest provincial agricultural department to ensure our seed stock is the best quality to grow.

We have an all in one mulch, bedmaker, and drip pipe machine which we attach to our tractor. Please see video for more info.

Using the mulch cover, helps to reduce weeding by hand and helps maintain ideal climate for ultimate garlic growth.
